Commonwealth manages the production of books from start to finish, including providing or contracting authors, editors, and designers, and securing the services of trade publishers and printers. Several of our staff have also authored books and articles published by commercial houses, university presses, and public agencies. Some reach a wide audience, others are more technically-oriented. Several of our books have appeared in both of Canada's official languages.
Education
Commonwealth's emphasis on communication extends to teaching and workshops. Our staff contributes to continuing education programs in heritage, cultural, and historical subjects at universities and community colleges across Canada and abroad. We also facilitate workshops in various settings, often as stakeholder workshops in support of planning studies, but also as stand-alone educational activities for corporate and public clients.
